Albertans are invited to remember Don Getty, the former premier who helped steer Alberta through the economic slowdown and falling energy prices of the 1980s, at a state funeral Saturday, March 5. Global News will be live-streaming and broadcasting the service on all Alberta stations in a province-wide special anchored by Global Edmonton’s Gord Steinke and Carole Anne Devaney from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. MT.

Condolence books have been set out for the public to sign and offer support to the Getty family. An online tribute page is also available.
